Welcome to Mynd Mgmt! I'm Nicole Spence, PMHNP-BC, and I’m dedicated to providing compassionate, integrative, patient-centered behavioral health care. With over 11+ years of nursing experience, I've had the privilege of working in diverse healthcare settings including the emergency department, family and sports medicine, dermatology, and urgent care. This wide-ranging experience has given me a unique perspective on the importance of mental health and its connection to overall well-being.
For the past 2+ years, I’ve been serving the community as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), providing comprehensive psychiatric assessments and medication management. I work closely with my collaborating physician, a psychiatrist based in Indiana, to ensure that each patient receives the best possible care.
My approach to mental health is grounded in a deep respect for individual experiences, and I strive to create a safe, open environment where clients can feel heard and supported. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, or other mental health concerns, I’m here to help you achieve a better quality of life.
Personal Philosophy
My personal philosophy centers on treating the whole person, not merely addressing isolated symptoms. I believe in an evidence-based comprehensive, individualized approach that takes into account a person’s unique genetic makeup, medical history, and responses to past treatments. Central to this philosophy is the importance of diagnostic laboratories in assessing overall health, as they provide critical insights into the body’s physical state.
The body’s condition directly influences mental function, and a deficiency in key nutrients or dysfunction in physiological systems can profoundly impact mental well-being. By focusing on the interconnection between physical health and mental clarity, we can develop personalized treatment plans that support the optimal functioning of both body and mind. This holistic approach ensures that care is tailored to the individual, promoting long-term wellness and better outcomes.
Thank you for trusting me with your care. I look forward to partnering with you on your mental health journey.
